Sutter County Sheriff: Man caught with explosives, drugs

A Sutter County man has been arrested after allegedly being caught with explosives, drugs, and burglary tools, according to an official press release.

Just before 2:30 PM on Friday, December 27, the Sheriff’s Office received a call about a suspicious person on the 100 block of Second Street in Yuba City.

Responding deputies searched the area and ended up arresting 33-year-old Carlos Alvarado of Yuba City on suspicion of possessing explosives, burglary tools, and controlled substances.

He was booked at the Sutter County Jail.
