A 22-year-old Linda man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and felony child abuse following the hospitalization of his infant son.
Just before 3 AM on December 20, medical personnel called Yuba County deputies to Adventist Rideout Hospital after a 5-week-old infant boy had arrived with suspicious head injuries.
Medical personnel were told that the baby and mother had been driven from their home on the 1400 block of North Beale Road and dropped off by the baby’s father, Eric Montejano.
Responding detectives began an investigation that ultimately led to Montejano’s arrest. He has since been booked at the Yuba County Jail.
