San Francisco police have announced the arrest of the suspected “Wedding Crasher” thief at San Francisco International Airport late last month.

58-year-old Mario Hernandez of Lancaster is accused in numerous thefts in the Bay Area and Los Angeles dating back to 2018, usually targeting weddings and other events.

Police say items stolen have included purses, laptops, cellphones, wallets, and credit cards.

Just before 10:30 PM on Thursday, November 22, officers at the San Francisco International Airport spotted Hernandez and, recognizing him from a crime bulletin, detained him as he entered the restroom.

He was arrested and booked at the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City on two counts of second degree burglary, four counts of grand theft, and outstanding warrants.
