Orland man sentenced in hit-and-run death of bicyclist

26-year-old Jacob Henry Thomas Cady has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and hit-and-run driving result in death or serious injury.

In December of 2018, Cady had reportedly been driving after drinking at a bar and had struck a person as they rode their bicycle on northbound Highway 99E.

Cady was arrested a short time later at the River Inn trailer park in Los Molinos.
