Man suffering fatal gunshot wounds attempts to drive

HAMILTON CITY – On October 21st at 10:30 p.m. the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call concerning an automobile accident.

The collision occurred near 2nd Street and and Sierra Avenue. A maroon Acura had hit a utility pole and parked vehicle, and then stopped in the driveway of a residence nearby.

Along with deputies, EMS, Hamilton City Volunteer Fire Department and CHP Officers arrived and discovered the driver of the Acura suffering  “from multiple gunshot wounds, who was pronounced deceased after life saving measures were exhausted.”

Deputies proceeded in a homicide investigation. The deceased man was identified as 19-year-old Alsonso Valdovinos.

No suspect has been identified in the shooting. “The Glenn County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance from the public to provide any additional information regarding the incident. This investigation is ongoing and further details into this crime will be released when they become available.”
