ORLAND – The Liberty Gas Station was robbed on May 2 around 10:00 pm.  Officers arrived at 506 Sixth Street to gather information about the suspect.

A white man wore a cloth mask and tan jacket and gray sweatpants.  He also displayed a handgun, and ran away on foot.

A review of the surveillance video led police to identify 35-year-old Jonathan Chesney as the suspect. Officers then arrested him at his residence at 1018 Cortina Court.

In his white Nissan Sentra officers discovered the clothes worn during the robbery, as well as a Desert Eagle style BB gun and meth pipe.

Chesney was positively identified by witnesses as the gas station robber.

An investigation revealed that Chesney was involved in two other robberies that happened at the AM/PM on April 11.

The suspect faces three charges of armed robbery and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.  His bail is $302,000.
