The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three individuals in connection to the South Sacramento shooting death of 18-year-old Timothy McGinnis.

Just after 11:45 PM on Thursday, July 18, deputies found McGinnis shot to death in the driver’s seat of a blue SUV on the 8200 block of Andulasian Drive in South Sacramento.

Three people who were with McGinnis at the time of the shooting said he lost control of the vehicle after being shot and crashed into a SMUD power box in front of a home on the street where the vehicle was found.

On Monday, October 21, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives announced the arrests of Jorge Vasquez (23) and Roberto Ferrusca (19), both of Sacramento, as well as a 17-year-old juvenile female, as primary suspects in the shooting.
