Inmate charged with felony after returning from day pass with contraband

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY — An inmate out on a day pass has had new charges added to his rap sheet after returning to jail with hidden contraband, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Davidson returned to jail at the end of the day and, when undergoing a routine search, was found to be in possession of 24.7 grams of tobacco, 3.8 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of THC, and 2 lighters.

He now faces a felony charge of bringing a controlled substance into a jail.
