SJPD Arrests 10 Suspects for Burglary, Conspiracy, Possession of Guns

SAN JOSE – The San Jose Police Department has arrested ten individuals who have been identified as having carried out burglaries in San Jose, Cupertino, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Santa Cruz, Burlingame, Los Altos, Morgan Hill, Walnut Creek, Fremont, Pleasanton, Oakland, and Dublin.  Each suspect was identified as having burglarized bike shops, construction sites and school districts.

The burglary crew has been suspected of more than a dozen burglaries beginning in early January. San Jose Police identified 49-year-old Joseph Presti, 33-year-old Paul Neale, 54-year-old Rodney Arrieta, 42-year-old Lilia Mendoza, 53-year-old Carlos Lames, 39-year-old Morgan Stevenson, 44-year-old Ramiro Lozano, 29-year-old Andrea Reyes, 33-year-old John Tamez, and 40-year-old Veronica Lozano as being responsible for those burglaries.

San Jose Police Officer Gina Tepoorten said, “On Thursday, August 29, 2019, the San Jose Burglary Prevention Unit, with the assistance of MERGE, Covert Response Unit (CRU), Street Crimes, Robbery Detectives, Patrol Officers, Community Service Officers, and outside law enforcement agencies, served a total of 4 search warrants in San Jose and 1 in Sunnyvale.”

According to police, during a search warrant officers recovered firearms, stolen driver’s licenses, narcotics, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, stolen credit cards and stolen during the search of each suspects residence, and a storage locker located in Sunnyvale.
