Milpitas Police Seek Residential Burglary Suspect

MILPITAS — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect (above) in a residential burglary on the morning of January 29.

The victim returned to her home at the Mill Creek Apartments to find that it had been ransacked and several belongings stolen.

Surveillance footage taken at the complex shows a black male adult, approximately 6 feet tall in a black hat, green shirt, black jacket with white Nike Air Jordan logo, black gloves, and dark jeans, entering and exiting the home.

Milpitas PD has been using a volunteer program (which began in August of last year) that allows residents to register their personal security cameras for police access, a coordination effort between police and citizens to help deter/quickly solve local crimes.

The program proves especially useful during cases in which a resident is not home at the time police are on scene. Officers are able to gather video evidence directly from the registered camera.
