JURUPA VALLEY — A convicted felon was arrested last week following a probation search and the subsequent discovery of a firearm in his possession, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

On August 7th just before 2 PM, Regional Gang Task Force officials conducted a DMV inquiry on a vehicle spotted in front of a “known gang residence” on the 3000 block of Rubidoux Boulevard, identifying its owner as 42-year-old Louis Feliciano Jimenez.

Jimenez, being a convicted felon on probation for weapons violations, is prohibited by law from possessing firearms.

After finding him at the residence, officials conducted a probation search of his vehicle and found a loaded (and unregistered) gun hidden in the engine compartment.

Jimenez was then arrested and booked on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of an unregistered firearm, felon in possession of ammunition, and two counts of violating his probation.
