Arrest reports from busy Beaumont PD

“It has been a busy several weeks for our officers.
In August the Beaumont Police Department investigated an attempted homicide that occurred in the 800 block of Magnolia Avenue. On November 18, 2020, an anonymous tip was received that the outstanding suspect in this case was located in Chandler, Arizona. Chandler Police Department was able to take Jamal Moreno, age 35, of Moreno Valley, into custody.
Moreno was extradited from Arizona and is being held on $1,000,000 bail for attempted murder, robbery, use of a firearm while committing a felony, carjacking, false imprisonment and stolen vehicle charges.
Officers are still looking for information regarding a felony hit and run that occurred in the City of Beaumont on November 19, 2020. The vehicle v. pedestrian collision occurred in the area of 6th Street and Chestnut Avenue at approximately 6:22pm. Officers have obtained video surveillance of the collision and determined the vehicle is a white, 4 door, Nissan, possibly a Sentra or Altima model (see attached images).
Detectives are asking for anyone who may have information on the suspect in this case to come forward. The suspect vehicle most likely incurred severe to moderate front end damage, including damage to the grill, front hood, possibly front driver’s side quarter panel and potentially even the front windshield. If anyone knows of a acquaintance who has recently been involved in a suspicious traffic collision, with unexplained damage or if any area body repair shops have had a customer bring in a vehicle matching the description and having damage consistent with this collision is encouraged to call Detectives with the Beaumont Police Department. On December 1, 2020, officers served a search warrant in the 600 block of Egan Avenue on a suspect in several vehicle burglary cases. During the warrant service officers located several stolen items, including stolen credit cards, badges and equipment from a bail enforcement officer and a San Bernardino County Fire official, along with several high end bicycles and a stolen motorcycle. Officers also located two firearms and ammunition.
The suspect, Kevin John Chastain, 27, of Beaumont, was not home at the time of the warrant service, but was later located and arrested for multiple felonies.
On December 1, 2020, at approximately 5:20pm, officers were dispatched to the apartments in the 1400 block of Beaumont Avenue in reference to gun shots. Officers arrived and spoke to witnesses who reported some sort of altercation between individuals at the location and then gun shots were heard.
A black four door car was reportedly seen in the area of where the gunshots originated. At approximately 8:00pm, the Beaumont Police Department received a call from the emergency room of San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital reporting a gunshot victim had come in with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers responded but the victim was uncooperative. Additional investigation by Beaumont Detectives and members of the Multiple Enforcement Team led officers to a location in Colton where a search warrant was served. Investigators located several unregistered firearms, including the one believed to have been used in the shooting. Officers conducted a parole search at the victim’s residence and located the victims car with a bullet hole and shattered window. Officers arrested the suspect Devontae Lewis, 18, of Beaumont for attempted homicide.
On December 2, 2020, officers responded to the 900 block of Maple Avenue regarding someone brandishing a firearm. Officers arrived on scene quickly and located a silver Mercedes Benz. The occupants were detained, however one of the suspects identified as Emmanuelle Bernard Bradbury, 22, of Beaumont attempted to evade officers.
Bradbury and the passenger of the vehicle, Daniel Joseph Gonzales, 23, were arrested. Bradbuy was charged with resisting arrest and Gonzales was charged with brandishing a dangerous weapon. Three replica BB-guns were confiscated from the suspects.
On December 3, 2020, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of Beaumont Avenue regarding a commercial burglary. Suspects entered the property and stole cigarettes, a cash register and lotto tickets. Surveillance video at the location captured three suspects, however officers were unable to locate anyone in the area. This case is still under investigation.
On December 3, 2020, at approximately 5:26am we received a call from a resident in the 100 block of Maple Avenue. The resident reported waking up to a bullet hole in the window of their residence. No one was injured and this case is still under investigation.
