CLEARLAKE – The Clearlake Police Department arrested 69-year-old Bert Besio on a warrant on July 15.
The arrest came after an investigation for a month concerning the molestation of two victims under 13 years of age.
The investigation indicates that the molestations occurred “on multiple occasions” and that Besio told a victim that he used to be a police officer.
There are two counts each for sexual assault of a child and child molestation, with his bail set at $500,000.
