SOLANO – In recent months, two men have been violently attacked, robbed, shot, and left to die. Three teenagers from Yolo County have now been arrested in connection with these crimes.

Both incidents began with a female suspect luring the victim to a location where two of her male co-conspirators waited.

The first incident occurred on April 22nd in which an 18-year-old male from Vacaville was shot after he began what he thought was a “date” with a woman he had met online.

The two male suspects then attacked the victim, taking his cell phone, cash and shoes. Then they shot him, pushed him out of the vehicle and drove away.

Another assault occurred on June 18, again with an 18-year-old male victim. Again, the two male suspects took his cell phone, two ounces of marijuana, and then shot him and pushed him out of the vehicle.

The investigation led to multiple arrests in late June.  First, 18-year-old Amit Kauli Chhoker was arrested in Woodland. Then 19-year-old Branden Lee Lerna was arrested in Winters. A 17-year-old juvenile was also arrested in Fairfield.

All three suspects are charged with two counts of attempted murder, robbery and conspiracy, and are not being offered bail.
