COLFAX – An off-duty Placer County Sheriff deputy spotted a Chevy truck in the Sierra Market parking lot on Tuesday May 23rd. The off duty officer noticed that the truck’s two occupants were smoking narcotics, and thus notified Placer County Sheriff dispatch.

Responding deputies came to interview the duo. When the vehicle’s windows opened, “a large cloud of smoke billowed from within the vehicle and into the face” of the deputies. They discovered 12 grams of meth and 16 Xanax pills.

44 year old Michael McKee of Arbuckle and 26 year old Desiree Rogers of Fallon Nevada were placed under arrest on charges of possession of drugs, possession of drugs for sale, being under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.

McKee also had a warrant out for his arrest.  His bail is set at $200,000. Rogers’ bail is $75,000.
