Verbal Argument Leads to Shooting at Happy Valley Residence

HAPPY VALLEY –  On the morning of October 20th the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a disturbance in the 5400 block of Pine Street. In an usual twist, the 8:40 a.m. call to deputies came from the man who would later be arrested. The caller advised deputies that he had fired a firearm at someone.

The victim also victim also contacted authorities concerning the shooting, while he was headed to the hospital.

Deputies arrived at the residence to try and sort out what had occurred, and made contact with 23-year-old Teezar Brady who told the deputies his side of the story.

Apparently a verbal argument arose between 24-year-old Dalton Brousseau-Tracy and his girlfriend, Annette Brady. Teezar Brady said that he feared for Annette Brady’s safety and got his gun. After a brief struggle, Tezzar Brady shot the victim once in the chest with a non-life threatening wound.

As a result, deputies arrested Teezar Brady and charged him with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
