PASADENA – Paul Guadalupe Gonzales (2/24/73), coined the ‘Dine and Dash Diner’, is facing a long future reservation in State Prison. Thirteen years await the dating-site charmer who managed to bilk eight women out of nearly $950 in dinner tabs.

First, Gonzales reportedly appeared on the site “Plenty of Fish,” was charming, and arranged rendezvous on various dating sites. He ordered the most expensive dishes, wines, and desserts. His contrived excuses for skipping out without paying ranged from making a phone call, a bathroom visit, a very sick aunt, to getting his phone charger out of the car.

Next, his escapades left one abandoned victim with a $250 bill. “The suspect allegedly went to dinner at restaurants in Pasadena, Long Beach, Burbank and Los Angeles,” said Deputy DA Michael Fern of the Cyber Crime Division.

“One paid in the belief that the defendant was going to pay her back,”the Los Angeles DA prosecutor said. “In two other instances the restaurants picked up the check.”

Surveillance also showed Gonzales sneaking out from a hair salon while wearing the salon’s smock. Also, the incidents took place From May 2016 through April 2018.

As a result, law enforcement released an arrest warrant on July 3rd. Gonzales’ bail is $315,000.

Gonzalez pleaded not guilty to seven felony counts of extortion, two counts of attempted extortion, and one count of grand theft. Other charges include two misdemeanor counts each of defrauding an innkeeper and petty theft.

Furthermore, the case remains under investigation by the Pasadena Police Department.
