In the first place, Mory became the subject of ongoing surveillance. He was observed selling heroin in Ventura County, and meeting with 43-year-old Los Angeles resident Eliseo Gonzalez, from whom he bought five ounces of heroin. Then detectives arrested Mory and took him into custody, booking him on charges of trafficking in heroin.

Following Mory’s arrest, detectives attached to the Ventura County Narcotics Task Force continued to investigate the activities of Gonzalez “and learned he, along with Jose Rodriguez, 49 of Los Angeles, distributed heroin to multiple other Ventura County customers.” Subsequently they arrested and booked the pair on narcotics charges.

Then they discovered he was being supplied by 55-year-old Palmdale resident Abraham Chaidez and his 57-year-old brother Jose Gonzalexz-Chaidez.  Detectives believe the pair to be “the head of a family-based organization residing part time in Mexico and part time in the U.S.”
