13-Year-Old Boy Flashed a Gun at School Bus Containing 13 Students

BAKERSFIELD – On Tuesday morning a 13-year-old boy flashed a gun at a school bus containing 13 students. The incident occurred near River Boulevard and Jeffrey Street.

The bus went to Washington Middle School and Noble Elementary School and discharged its passengers. Then school authorities initiated a lock-down procedure.

The youth flashed gang signs and pointed the gun at the bus but fired no shots.

Deputies investigated and discovered the identity of the suspect, a student in the district on independent studies.

Deputies consequently found the juvenile at a residence on the 600 block of Jeffrey. They discovered him in possession of a BB gun and drug paraphernalia.
