PINE GROVE – It is always nice to read when people get involved in an effort to curtail crime.
Such was the case on March 15 in Pine Grove when an alert neighbor called deputies concerning an attempted burglary.
A man was building a new home and called the ACSO when he noticed that someone was breaking into said home.
The front door had been kicked in and tile and other building supplies were gone.
The good Samaritan called a second time to let authorities know he spotted the burglar leaving the home and had caught some video of the suspect as he drove away.
Detectives saw the video and soon had their man – Jerry Adams. During their parole search at his home they discovered the stolen tile.
