WESTWOOD – Early in the morning of March 31 a Westwood man was shot twice and authorities were called in to respond. The victim was treated at a Chico hospital and released.
The investigation during the following week revealed that the victim and the suspect were in an argument before the shooting.
On April 5 the LCSO executed a search warrant at a residence where 35-year-old Kevin Roberts was present. They said that “several items of evidence linked to the shooting were seized as evidence pursuant to the search warrant.”
Roberts was charged with attempted murder, being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
His bail is set at $512,500.
