MORENO VALLEY – Early on Friday morning the MVPD responded to a call of a shooting in the 23500 block of Sunnymead Ranch Parkway.
Respondents found a 23-year-old black male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition.
Further investigation identified 26-year-old Perris resident Travis Mitchel Hicks as the shooter. Hicks was already on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for weapons offenses.
The suspect was arrested and booked both for attempted murder and violating his parole.
