Fremont PD investigates drive-by shooting on Ardenwood Boulevard

FREMONT // Police have begun an investigation into a drive-by shooting that occurred on Ardenwood Boulevard near Highway 84 on February 9th.

At around 5:45 PM, a man in a black hoodie and driving a gold sedan reportedly fired at two men he spotted outside a convenience store on the 34400 block of Ardenwood Boulevard, then quickly fled.

Officers responded and found multiple spent shell casings, as well as learning that one of the two men had sustained a bullet wound to his foot. Fortunately, the injury was not life-threatening and the victim dd not require transportation to the hospital.

Police believe this to be an isolated, albeit possibly targeted, incident. Anyone with information that may be relevant to the investigation is encouraged to contact Fremont PD at 510-790-6800.
