DAVIS // On the morning of December 4th, police arrested a lone suspect after being alerted to a possible vehicle burglary in progress.

Just before noon, officers arrived on the 5100 block of Chiles Road and found the suspect sitting in a vehicle belonging to a business on the same street. Additional units arrived when the suspect proved combative and had to be cuffed and placed in a WRAP device “for everyone’s safety.”

After finding methamphetamine on his person, officers managed to find the car he arrived in. It was displaying a license plate that belonged to another car and there was also ammo sitting in the car in plain view of officers. The officers searched the car and also found packaged marijuana and a loaded semi-automatic handgun.

The suspect, a convicted felon whom police have not publicly identified, has been arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail.
