COPPEROPOLIS // On September 26th, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office dispatched deputies to two separate locations pursuant to a stolen property search warrant.

Items positively identified as stolen were recovered from both locations — some of which included items stolen from boats around Lake Tulloch.

At one location, on the 3000 block of Signal Hill Trail — deputies “requested Code Compliance” response after discovering “unsafe living conditions and miscellaneous code violations.” At the other location, on the 2000 block of Quail Hill Road — deputies arrested 30-year-old Joseph Leonard for possession of stolen property, criminal conspiracy, possession of methamphetamine, and probation violation.

63-year-old George “Tony” Krajnovich was also arrested after a rifle and ammunition were discovered, which Krajnovich is prohibited from owning.

Both are now housed at the Calaveras County Jail.
