Armed Robbery Suspect Sought by Pomona and Ontario Police Departments

POMONA /ONTARIO – Detective Dan Watkins of the Pomona Police Department Investigative Services Division urges citizens to be on the lookout for an armed robber believed to be involved in three robberies in Pomona and Ontario.

The Pomona crimes took place on August 2nd and 7th and occurred at noon and 9:30 at night. Each time, the suspect – described as a 20-30 year-old, short-haired, 5’10 and 160-lb. African-American male wearing eyeglasses – demanded money be placed in a bag.  He then fled on foot. Both Pomona and Ontario victims report similar descriptions of the suspect and firearms.

The Pomona locations that were robbed were 95 Cent and Tobacco on 355 Mission Boulevard and K&K Liquor at 691 Indian Hill Boulevard.

The Ontario Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on August 8th at One Stop Donut Shop located at 404 S. Vine Street. The OPD’s suspect and firearm descriptions are similar to the Pomona robberies.
