“Operation Broken Heart” Nets 180 Arrests

Cushqader Warren

LOS ANGELES – Last month the LA Regional Internet Crimes against Children Task Force conducted “Operation Broken Heart,” targeting child predators, and made 180 arrests as a result of the operation.

22-year-old Cushqader Warren was one of the arrests, and on Wednesday he pleaded no contest to luring a young boy into filming a sexually explicit video and sending it to Warren in exchange for online gaming cards.

The suspect’s ruse involved posting videos relating to video gaming, and then offering cards to those who gave comments about them. These cards gave its holders the ability to go to a higher game level.

Last June, Warren ended up chatting with a 12-year-old boy and convinced him to perform a sexual act on himself, film said act and send it to Warren, in order to receive the gaming cards.

He now faces a sentence of 3 years and 8 months in state prison.
