FRESNO — A party supply rental company located near Gettysburg and Valentine Avenues reported the theft of two of their box trucks on Tuesday.  Both vehicles had GPS devices attached which helped FPD track their locations.

Both trucks were located, unoccupied, and surveillance began.  The first truck, located near Jensen and Maple Avenues shortly became occupied and drove away from the trailer park where it was parked.

Detectives followed it as it went out and then returned to the trailer park.  Its two occupants were then arrested, after the invariably unsuccessful “attempt to flee.”

The driver was 32-year-old Arthur Ramirez and the passenger was 28-year-old Timothy Engineer.  Charges against the due include auto theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest and probation violation.

The other truck, and the contents of both trucks, were recovered.
