Sheriff’s Deputies Investigate Stabbing in Chico

CHICO — On March 27th at around 1:30 AM, Chico PD officers and medical personnel arrived in the area of Miller and Pomona Avenues after reports of a stabbing. There they discovered a lone victim and transported him to the local hospital.

Police say he is expected to survive.

Investigation determined that the initial stabbing had occurred at a home on the 500 block of Pomona. Being that the area falls under Butte County Sheriff’s Department jurisdiction, Sheriff’s Deputies assumed control of the investigation.

Two individuals — Daniel Hensley and Corey Crews — have been identified as primary suspects. Deputies believe a third suspect is involved, though he/she has yet to be confirmed and identified.

Hensley and Crows are now wanted for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon. They are considered armed and dangerous.
