Michael Dean Morton
FRESNO — 40-year-old Central West High School teacher Michael Dean Morton was arrested on Thursday on a felony charge of unlawful sex with a minor.
Although the unnamed girl had graduated from Central West High school when Morton allegedly had unlawful contact with her in 2015, she was 17 years old and therefore underage.
Morton has posted bond and been released, and is no longer employed with the Central Unified School District.
The FCSO issued this statement: “There is a possibility that there are other victims out there who have not reported Morton’s illegal activity. If you are aware of such behavior, please contact Detective Lorena Jimenez at (559) 600-8221 or call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP (7867).”
