FRESNO — A vehicle code violation led to a traffic stop in Fresno in Wednesday, and the traffic stop then produced a gang member and a gun.

A passenger in the stopped car was on felony probation, which then created the opportunity for a search of it.
Finally, a bag in the trunk yielded a “loaded, chopped-down 12-gauge shotgun.”
34-year-old Gabriel Dorado, who was driving the car, told police he found the bag and put it in his trunk, and not surprisingly denied knowledge of the gun.
Dorado was a prior convicted felon and gang member and was booked for several firearms violations.
