Women Accused of Murder; Arrested in Arizona

On Saturday, a man was found dead inside of a tent on the 300 block of East Oberlin Road in Yreka. The victim was identified as John Paul Mullins, 33.

Police believed that the suspect in the killing was 23-year-old Tabitha Ann Taravella. Yreka PD know Travella as being a transient of the area.

Taravella was described as being 5’3″, 140 pounds with brown hair and green eyes. She also has a tattoo of a boombox on the right side of her neck.

Yesterday, police said that Taravella had been located in Sedona, Arizona. She was arrested without incident and taken into custody on a felony murder warrant.

Taravella has had other charges against her, when she was living in Oregon.

According to an arrest log, on January 24, 2016, she was arrested in Jackson, Oregon for burglary, theft, attempted burglary, and possession of burglary tools. She also had previously been in the Siskiyou County Jail in November, but was released that month.

No further information has been released at this time.
