Middle-Schooler Arrested for Pepper Spraying Fellow Students
McKINLEYVILLE — On December 14th at approximately 12:35 PM, Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at McKinleyville Middle School to investigate reports that a student had gone around pepper spraying several of his peers in the cafeteria. Two were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect apparently fled on foot along Central Avenue. While some deputies sat down to meet with students, others searched for the suspect.
He was eventually located on Central Avenue at Hartwood and arrested without incident, then taken to Juvenile Hall where he was booked for illegal use of teargas and assault and battery on school grounds.
