Four Boys Arrested for Attempted Robbery in Yuba City and Marysville

YUBA CITY— Two boys—ages 11 and 12 years old—were arrested on Monday, September 12, 2016 in Yuba City for pulling a gun on a local man and demanding money.

The victim, fortunately, was able to get away unharmed by telling the boys he did not have any money before running into his house to call the police.

Yuba City Police are not ruling out the possibility this could be gang-related as they continue their search for the gun.

Less than a week earlier in Marysville, another two boys—ages 12 and 15 years old—were arrested for attempting to flee from a stolen vehicle. Their arrests occurred nearly an hour after an attempted robbery that began when the two minors asked someone for a cigarette.

Teresa Reisinger, a Maryville mother of a teenager believes these crimes in the two cities are related

“What are these kids really doing and where are their parents while they are doing it?” she wondered. “I’m sorry but I know where my 13-year-old is all the time.”

Neither Yuba City Police or Marysville Police are saying these two crimes are related at this point, but they are both still collecting evidence.
