Loma Linda, Westminster Authorities Have Suspects in GTA

LOMA LINDA – Three men were arrested this week when deputies learned they were trying to fraudulently buy a $43,000 motorcycle from an area dealership.

Zacharias T.W. Johnny Webbrussell, 29, of Winnetka in Los Angeles County, along with Kristopher Joseph McCall, 30, of Long Beach, and Henry Lee Vinson, 23, of Rialto, were taken into custody on May 25 when deputies determined they were trying to buy a Harley Davidson motorcycle using stolen personal information.

Deputies were called to the Quaid Harley Davidson dealership at 25160 Redlands Boulevard that morning to investigate the purchase of a motorcycle the three men had picked out earlier.

When detectives arrived, they noted that Webbrussell had used a false identification card with personal information from an undisclosed victim. Webbrussell portrayed himself to the dealership’s salesman, according to reports, “in an attempt to fraudulently purchase the new Harley Davidson motorcycle.”

The victim had recently placed a fraud alert on his credit card with personal information that alerted dealership personnel, said investigators. They notified the local county sheriff’s office.

During contact with the suspects, deputies located a fully loaded .45-caliber handgun that was concealed in a backpack worn by Vinson.

Based on information at the dealership, all three men were arrested, taken to Central Detention Center in San Bernardino for felony identity theft, conspiracy, attempted grand theft and possession of a loaded handgun.

Sheriff’s detectives later learned that all three suspects had recently been identified in a similar crime at a Harley Davidson dealership in Westminster, located in Orange County. They were actively being sought by the Westminster Police Dept.

Webbrussell, McCall and Vinson was released on bail. No court appearance has yet been scheduled.
