Juan Carlos Luna

FRESNO – Police are looking for two men they believe are connected to the fatal stabbing of a Fresno man inside a motel room near Highway 99.

Police say that on March 24, Hector Torres, 27, was inside room 233 at the Welcome Inn motel located on Parkwood Drive, just west of Highway 99, when he was stabbed. Torres was transported to Community Regional Medical Center around 10 p.m., where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives with the Fresno Police Department believe that 29-year-old Juan Carlos Luna, a parolee and Bulldog gang member, was responsible for stabbing Torres. They also suspect a second unidentified man of being inside the motel room during the incident.

Police say that Luna is wanted on suspicion of murder and has an active warrant out for his arrest. They are also seeking information from the public as to the identity of the second suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867.
