Gang Member Arrested in Fresno Double Homicide

FRESNO – Police arrested a Bulldog gang member they believe to be connected to the May 23 shooting deaths of two men during a party in southeast Fresno.

Officers with the Fresno Police Department arrested 26-year-old Conrad Daniel Serna on June 2 at his home. He has been charged with two counts of murder, authorities said.

Serna and another man were allegedly attending a party in the 2400 block of South Ninth Street when they got into a fight with several other partygoers, prompting Serna to pull out a gun and shoot at several people, police said.

Killed were 27-year-old Rene Diaz and 28-year-old Ramon Delgado Jr. Three other people were wounded, including Serna, police said. They believe Serna was shot by someone who was with Diaz and Delgado.

So far this year, Fresno has had 20 murders. At this time last year, the city had 23 murders.
