Placer County Sheriff Arrest 2 Women for Prostitution-Related Crimes

A nine-month long investigation led to a raid at the Penryn Day Spa yesterday, leading to the arrest of two female suspects, according to an official press release from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

Guirong Li, 54, of Monterey Park, was reportedly arrested for prostitution, and spa manager Zulgerel Baker, 35, of Rocklin, was arrested for pimping. Both women were released on bail the morning of Wednesday, October 15.

According to Placer County Sheriff, the Penryn Day Spa on Penryn Road, just off of Interstate 80, was raided on Tuesday, October 14, and the two suspects were arrested after an undercover sheriff’s detective was solicited for sex. Following their arrest, the business was reportedly raided by Sheriff’s deputies and members of the Special Investigations Unit — a state-sponsored task force.

A search warrant was reportedly served and officers confiscated computers and financial records. A search warrant was also reportedly served at Baker’s Rocklin home. According to Placer County Sheriff, the investigation is ongoing.
