Santa Rosa’s Most Wanted Program Proves Fruitful

Authorities Arrest Two Of Their Most Wanted Within A Week

SANTA ROSA—Since the City Of Santa Rosa launched their new program for their Most Wanted back in May, it has proved fruitful as they have arrested two of their most wanted. The City’s most wanted list can be found on the police website, where the most serious offenders have been profiled.

On Thursday August 21, an alert Sonoma County Sheriff’s Deputy recognized wanted suspect 26-year-old Jose Carlos Suazo of Santa Rosa after a traffic stop on West Avenue in the City of Santa Rosa. Suazo was wanted on a felony probation warrant for possession of a firearm. Suazo is also an active gang participant. When he was arrested for this incident, he was in possession of another firearm.

Just about a week later, on Thursday August 28, Detectives with the Santa Rosa Gang Crimes arrested 63-year-old Santa Rosa resident John Manuel Negrete. Detectives arrested him on sexual assault charges during a traffic stop on the 900 block of link Lane in Santa Rosa after they learned about his whereabouts. He was also charged with failing to register as a sex offender.

The City of Santa Rosa’s Most Wanted Offenders list had been updated and includes additional wanted suspects. Topping the list as of this writing is Daniel Hernandez Santiago – shown at right. His aliases are listed as “Pelon” and “Skater”, and has a tattoo of “Erica” on his left arm. He is associated with the Puro Sureno Cholos street gang, and is consider armed and dangerous. He leads the list of a dozen wanted men on the list today.

They ask that anyone with information about their whereabouts to call the Santa Rosa Police Department at 707-528-5222 or leave an anonymous message on the tip line at 707-543-4170.
