HAWTHORNE — She came a long way to deliver a distinct message, baby—and she’s going to be put away for a long time too.

Lanette Franklin, 32, was apprehended by Hawthorne Police Department on Sunday, June 8 at approximately 12:30 a.m. The “house wife” was charged with a number of violent crimes including one felony: 273(A)PC, “willful cruelty to a child likely to produce Grievous Bodily Injury (GBI)/death.” The other two charges were misdemeanors: 243(E)(1)PC, “battery: spouse/ex-spouse/person dating/etc” and 647(F)PCALC, “drunk/alcohol.”

It was unknown who was the target of the petite 5’7”, 130-lb., green-eyed woman.

The Riverside, California resident, who was listed in the police report as residing on the 500 block of Bushhill Avenue in Riverside, was arrested along the 3600 block of West Rosecrans Avenue in Hawthorne, approximately 55 miles away from her Riverside residence, through numerous cities and three counties.

Bail was set at $120,250, which is a typical rent hike when one moves from Riverside to Los Angeles.
