Best Mugshot contest in Sacramento

Two people were arrested this weekend who seemed to be out to win a crazy mugshot contest when they were booked. Unfortunately for them, the only prize is a lot of people laughing at their photos.

On Saturday just before 7 pm, a 24-year-old woman, Erica Nicole Garcia, was involved in a car accident with multiple cars, and injuries to three people. The accident happened on West El Camino near Stonecreek Drive, according to Fox40 news. A traffic light and a residential fence were also damaged in the collision. When tested, Garcia was found to be under the influence and had an outstanding warrant as well. She was booked for driving with a license suspended for drunk driving, DUI causing bodily injury, and operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device.

Also on Saturday, earlier in the afternoon, police responded to a call on West El Camino near Discovery Park, just one block from where the accident would occur later that day. A man was reported to be swinging a large wooden tree stake at people at the Discovery Plaza shopping center. Responding officers found 36-year-old Sandhu Manpreet with the pole, and he had also broken some windows of a nearby business. He was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.

There is no indication that Erica Garcia and Sandhu Manpreet knew each other or had anything to do with the incidents the other was involved in. It appears to be just a coincidence that their mugshots are a perfect pair and that their notorious episodes happened within a block along El Camino Boulevard.
