LB Police Make Arrest in Pot Dispensary Case

LONG BEACH – Two years ago the City of Long Beach enacted Municipal Code 5.89.030 which banned the operation of marijuana dispensaries.  Two months after that, as they enforced this code, they issued a search warrant for Industry Green Collective located on the 2200 block of Lakewood Boulevard.

Police at the time seized 20 pounds of marijuana and a large amount of cash.  Their investigation led them to a home in thew 2400 block of Hannum Drive which yielded the discovery of three assault rifles and seven guns in all.

After two years of investigation, authorities have shut down the collective and arrested 40-year-old Christopher Keane Woodard at his Hannum Drive home.  He was charged with drug sales, possession of assault weapons, child endangerment and revenue tax violations.

Woodard is being held on a bail of $125,000.
