Murder for Hire Plot has Woman Behind bars

ANDERSON – A supposed murder for hire scheme has placed an Anderson woman in custody. Detectives arrested Angela O’ Regan, 55, on Monday. O’ Regan was put behind bars after police discovered her association in scheming and soliciting the murder for hire of a family member. The family member she was scheming to target was not harmed and his/her name is not being released due to the ongoing investigation.

Detectives say her motive could have to do with the wishes of other involved family members and child custody problems. Anderson Police Department investigators uncovered O’ Regan’s reported plot on Sunday, after notification via telephone from the Chico Police who had received original information from bystanders regarding the case. Investigators confiscated electronic and audio proof, additionally, they recovered the firearm that was for the purposes of killing the targeted family member.

O’ Regan made multiple confessions to investigators during an interrogation and was booked into Shasta County Jail on charges of attempted solicitation of murder for hire charges.
