Gas Station Robber Caught in Fresno

A suspect was arrested in Fresno after he allegedly robbed a Paso Robles gas station on Sunday.

According to PRPD, Charles Donald Wheeler Jr., 51, of Paso Robles, was arrested for the alleged robbery of Eagle Energy Gas Station.

Wheeler was arrested on Monday in Fresno after surrendering himself to the Fresno Police Department.

Paso Robles Police Department detectives drove to Fresno early Monday afternoon and transported Wheeler back to San Luis Obispo County where he was booked into the SLO County Jail on a single count of robbery.

Police say Wheeler robbed the on-duty cashier of money from the register.

Witnesses told police no weapons were displayed or simulated during the robbery and no one was injured.

Witnesses say after robbing the store Wheeler rode away on a Harley Davidson style motorcycle.
