Two Murder-Suicides in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO – Two separate incidents last week in two different homes shared the same scenario and the same outcome – a man shot his female companion to death and then turned the gun on himself.

In the first incident, 43-year-old Eugene Stevenson shot and killed 41-year old Kassandra Atterberry and then fatally shot himself in the chest.  Both bodies were discovered in their home on 15th Avenue by a relative who had not heard from time for a few days.

In the second incident, 38-year-old Grant High School assistant football coach Edward Coleman shot and killed his girlfriend, 28-year-old Luv Land in the home they shared in North Natomas.

When both eerily similar incidents were over,  four people had sadly lost their lives.
