Police Ask Public for Help Finding Assault Suspects

The Atascadero Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding three suspects accused of assaulting a 20-year-old man in Sunken Gardens.

According to police, the attack occurred two weeks ago when the three men allegedly stole the victim’s wallet and cellphone.

Police say they received a call to respond to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton around 9:45 p.m. The call regarded a man who said he had been assaulted in Sunken Gardens earlier that day.

The victim told officers he was assaulted with an unknown object by one to three suspects.

Police say the victim incurred major injuries including fractures to his face.

The victim’s identity and the type of weapon used during the crime were not released at the time of press.
