Roseville man arrested for child abuse

Michael Scott Nodine of Roseville was arrested on June 26th on suspicion of sexual abuse on a child over a period of ten years. Nodine, 45, is under further investigation for his activities and contacts with children, which may have led to abuse of other boys and girls, aged five to their mid-teens, and has been charged with two additional offences identified since his arrest.

According to a Roseville Police press release, during the period under investigation, Nodine lived in both Roseville and Rocklin, and worked in Folsom. Though his job did not involve contact with children, he is suspected of locating his victims through on-line gaming groups, and also through family and social connections.

Roseville detectives are concerned that in addition to the first identified victims, Nodine may have had other contacts with children, and are hoping this investigation will lead to the identification and prosecution of any and all other victims. Nodine is currently being held in the Placer County jail in lieu of $1 Million bail.
