Sheriff’s snare two alleged meth-heads

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit detectives arrested a San Miguel man for sales of methamphetamines.

Sheriff’s took Clyde Cody Roberts, 22, into custody Tuesday afternoon on two $15,000 local warrants at a Paso Robles motel on the 3200 block of Spring Street. It is unknown what the quantity of narcotics was that Roberts possessed or what the warrants were for at time of press.

According to Sheriff’s deputies, the suspect occupied the motel room with Shanna Diane Calderwood, 34 and her 9-year-old son.

Sheriffs say there was evidence that indicated methamphetamine use inside the room and as a precaution, tested the boy for exposure to methamphetamine, which lab tests returned positive on Wednesday morning.

Narcotics detectives returned to the Spring Street motel and arrested Calderwood on child endangerment charges. Her son was turned over to Child Protective Services.

Both suspects remain in county jail with bail set on Calderwood at $100,000 and Roberts at $55,000.
