SLO man arrested after breaking into car, foot chase

San Luis Obispo police officers arrested a local man after he allegedly was seen breaking into cars around Santa Rosa Street.

The call from a resident was received at approximately 2:15 a.m., according to police. The caller contacted law enforcement after hearing glass break.

Another called stated he saw a man running south from the area wearing a dark hooded jacket.

Officers said when they arrived they found two vehicles with shattered driver’s side windows. Police soon detained Wade Scott, 25, after a short foot pursuit and struggle.

Police said items taken from one of the vehicles were found.

Scott was booked in to County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
