Police looking for clues in man's mysterious death

SACRAMENTO — Police are is investigating the death of a 66-year-old male that occurred last week at 9th and K Street.

City fire department officials responded to a medical call of a man down at 9th and K Street around 5:41 p.m. on Feb. 27. Upon arrival, they found a male suffering from head trauma. The male victim was transported to Sutter General Hospital were he later died from his injuries.

Sacramento homicide and crime scene investigators have not yet determined what occurred to the victim.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have seen the victim around the time of this incident to contact the police. The victim is described as a white 66-year-old male who walked hunched over and with the use of a cane.
